How to Play Flip Cup

Official Rules:
A typical game of Flippy Cup is composed of two teams with usually 6 to 10 players per team, but that amount can vary as long as there is an even number of players. Once a person has been assigned to a team they cannot be traded until the end of match play. Once the teams have decided which side of the table they will play they fill their cup with a small amount of beer.

The amount that each person pours can be agreed upon by the teams or can be based on each players preference. A standard amount of beer to be pour would be to the first line in a red solo plastic cup. At this time a small amount of beer is poured on the table to add suction to the playing surface.

Once the beer is poured a starting end and finishing end is determined. The players at the starting end begin match play by tapping their cup down, tapping each others cup, tapping down again, and then proceed to drink their beer. Once the beer has been finished they will place their cup right side up on the edge of the table so that a small portion of the cup extends past the table. They then use their fingers to flip the cup until it lands upside down on the table. Players cannot use two hands to help cup stay upright. Only the first players may touch their cups, all other players must wait to hold their cups until the player preceding them has successfully completed the flip. Once the starting players get their cup to land upside down the second players in line can grab their beer and then begin to drink their beer and start the flipping process, this continues until they reach the end of the table. The first team to successfully flip their cups wins that match.

The amount of matches played in Flippy cup is determined by the amount of players per team, if there are four players on each team then there will be four matches played. After each match each player should rotate positions on the table so that each person gets an opportunity to be on the starting and finishing ends of the table. To win the game a team must win by two games or the game continues until their is a winner.
